From Paris With Love

Happy belated Valentine’s Day to all!

Here’s what I’ve been up to in the “City of Light & Love”…

Strutting along the Seine- Katherine, Anna, Cara- in pursuit of Musée d'Orsay and a wonderful cofee shop called Verlet

Delicious café- hints of chocolate in the expresso blend

Pont des Arts- love padlocks

The Pont des Arts is filled with “love padlocks.” All shapes, colors, sizes. There were even some big bike locks that had been bent into the shape of a heart. People carve in their initials, sometimes dates and quotes, lock on, and throw the keys into the Seine. Ooey gooey romance straight out of a romcom!

Outside meet & greet for David Lebovitz

Happily tagged along with some friends who wanted to check out this meet and greet for a famous American chef turned blogger/writer. He was very nice! Too bad the free macaroons and wine were all gone by the time we arrived on Sunday! Check out David’s site here.

Afterwards a few of us took shelter from the chill to watch the Wales v Scotland rugby game at a bar called the Frog and Rosbif (hangout for British/American expats.) Wales won! Here’s a pic of the sign inside, which on the bottom reads: “honi soit qui peu y boit.” This means, “shame on he who drinks little.” bahaha. This is a play on the famous expression “honi soit qui mal y pense”, which roughly translates to “shame on him who thinks evil of it.”

"Shame on him who drinks little"

Had a super fun/girly Valentine’s Day soirée on Tuesday night, complete with heart-shaped pasta with pesto, heart-shaped cheese and lots of baguettes, roses, and valentine crafts.

Gettin' vday crafty

a rose by any other name would smell as sweet- thnx shakespeare
